My name is Lauren, and I'm so excited to share my passion for piano with you. My love for piano began when I was 6 and led me to earn a bachelors and masters degree in piano performance. Now piano is my full time profession as well as my lifetime hobby! It is my goal to provide the highest quality of private piano instruction at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels for students anywhere.

More About Me

As an Indianapolis-based pianist and music educator, Lauren has a passion to share the gift of music with the next generation. She holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance degree from Butler University and Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano and history minor from Pensacola Christian College where she graduated with honors. Lauren attributes her musical success to professors and mentors Dr. Kate Boyd, Dr. Andrew Hisey, Mrs. Daisy Jaffe, A. D., and Donna Kurtz, M. M. She has also had the opportunity to perform for masterclasses at several Midwest universities with Leon Bates, Dr. Chi Yong Yun, Dr. Sophie Grobler van der Westhuzien, Dr. Pierre van der Westhuzien, Jerry Wong, Dr. Robert Palmer, and the late Elizabeth Pastor.

While completing her masters degree, she was a two-year recipient of the piano pedagogy assistantship where she gained valuable teaching experience with students of all ages through the Butler Community Arts School. Lauren also served on faculty as a private and group class instructor at the Indianapolis Suzuki Academy for 3 years. She has completed training for Suzuki Piano Book 1 and Every Child Can with Rita Hauck. 

Lauren was ranked in the highest 5% in the country from her participation in the Royal Conservatory program, and was invited to audition for a broadcast in Carnegie Hall, hosted by the PBS program, “From the Top.” In 2019 she was the first place finalist in the Upper College Division of the Gulf Coast Steinway Society Competition at the University of Mobile. Her awards also include the George Haddad Memorial Scholarship and Ohio Music Teachers Association scholarship. 

In her spare time, Lauren enjoys cooking, fitness, the great outdoors, and quality time with family and friends.
